Call for Public Advisory Group Members for the NetZeroAICT Project

The NetZeroAICT project, a pioneering collaboration between healthcare trusts, universities, and industry partners, is excited to invite participation in our Public Advisory Group (PAG). This initiative is at the forefront of developing advanced AI technology to enhance the efficiency and quality of CT scan diagnostics, focusing on providing a safer, more sustainable, and cost-effective alternative to traditional contrast dyes.

About the NetZeroAICT Project

The NetZeroAICT project aims to significantly reduce the environmental and negative patient impacts of diagnostic processes by 2033, aligning with the EU’s vision for a more sustainable healthcare system. Our approach includes:

  • Building a Central Hub: Developing a trusted repository for CT images to facilitate our research.
  • Innovating in AI: Creating cutting-edge AI systems trained on real CT scan data validated by expert clinicians.
  • Improving Diagnostic Quality: The project’s long-term aim is to enhance CT images to enable improved diagnostics across various conditions, including strokes, cancer, and trauma, matching or surpassing traditional methods.
  • Environmental Sustainability: Reducing the usage of contrast dyes, thus decreasing the environmental toll of current diagnostic practices.

Join the Public Advisory Group

We are seeking 10-15 individuals from diverse backgrounds across Europe to join our Public Advisory Group. Members will play a crucial role in steering the project towards more patient-centered and environmentally friendly diagnostics. The PAG will:

  1. Meet regularly over the next three years, both online and in-person, with all travel expenses covered.
  2. Engage with various project stakeholders to provide input and recommendations on the use of AI in diagnostics.
  3. Help ensure that our innovations meet the real-world needs of patients and healthcare providers.

Who Should Apply?

  1. Individuals with experience in CT scans with contrast fluid injection, either as patients, family members/carers of patients (the advisory group will be made up of a majority of people having experience of CT scans – but please feel free to apply even if you don’t have experience of CT scans, as this is not a required criteria).
  2. Residents of EU countries, including Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway, aged 18 or older.
  3. Those interested in medical innovation, particularly in AI and diagnostics.

Benefits of Joining

  • Each participant will receive compensation for their time and contributions.
  • Travel and accommodation for face-to-face meetings will be fully covered.

Application Process

  • Applications will close on June 10th, 2024.
  • Please complete the online application form available here.
  • Successful applicants will be invited to informal conversations as part of the selection process, scheduled for late May.
