COP29 | NetZeroAICT Featured in WHO Special Report
[11-22 November 2024, Baku, Azerbaijan]
NetZeroAICT has been highlighted in the World Health Organization Special Report on Climate Change and Health, unveiled last week at COP29 in Azerbaijan. The report, titled ‘Health is the Argument for Climate Action’, emphasizes the critical role of climate-resilient and low-carbon health systems in supporting human development.
NetZeroAICT, alongside our sister projects CARING NATURE and KitNewCare, is proud to be recognised for making healthcare more environmentally sustainable and climate neutral.
NetZeroAICT is a Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Action co-funded by the European Commission and UK Research and Innovation. Our goal is to reduce the environmental and health impacts of traditional CT scans with innovative AI-driven digital contrast.
Our AI-powered digital contrast technology aims to make CT imaging safer by eliminating risks like kidney toxicity and allergic reactions, while also reducing 30% of CO2 emissions and iodine waste from the 180 million annual CT scans, supporting the EU’s #NetZero targets.
Thank you to the #WHO and the #EuropeanCommission for this recognition. We are committed to continuing our work towards a sustainable future for healthcare.
