NetZeroAICT @ ECR 2025
Reflections on #ECR2025: Advancing Towards Climate Neutral and Sustainable Healthcare
ECR 2025 has been an inspiring journey for the NetZeroAICT team! The theme of #PlanetRadiology provided the perfect platform to showcase our commitment to enabling climate-neutral and sustainable healthcare.
Here are some highlights from our experience:
- Our KOL, Erik R. Ranschaert, MD, PhD engaged in a dynamic AI Theatre panel discussion on Energy Equity in AI & Radiology.
- Erik also spoke at the Open Forum hosted by Bracco Imaging on leveraging AI for sustainable policies in radiology.
- Regent Lee delivered a research presentation on how DL models for cardiomegaly detection can enable the assessment of cardiomegaly prevalence.
- A constructive meeting with the new EuSoMII – European Society of Medical Imaging Informatics board, including Michail Klontzas, MD, PhD.
- A standout presentation by John Kellas on the patient advisory group (PAG) in the NetZeroAICT project – crucial for patient-centered innovation.
- Digital poster session on how Deep Learning Models for Organ Pathology Detection Enable Assessment of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Prevalence in an International CT Data Repository delivered by Usama Zidan.
We are grateful for the ongoing enthusiastic support from Anders Nordell, Regent Lee, Erik R. Ranschaert, MD, PhD, Michail Klontzas, MD, PhD and all the consortium partners of the NetZeroAICT Consortium. Special mentions to John Kellas and Usama Zidan for their research work.
Thank you to everyone who reached out and connected with us at ECR 2025. We look forward to collaborating and advancing innovation and sustainability in healthcare together!
