Strengthening Collaboration and Innovation at the NetZeroAICT M30 Meeting in Opole
Over two productive and inspiring days in Opole, partners of the NetZeroAICT consortium gathered for the project’s M30 meeting to reflect on progress, exchange ideas, and shape the next steps of our shared journey toward sustainable and trustworthy AI solutions for CT imaging.
The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to reconnect in person and deepen the strong cross-disciplinary collaboration that lies at the heart of the project. Discussions brought together technical, clinical, and communication perspectives, reinforcing our common commitment to developing AI-driven solutions for computed tomography (CT) imaging that are not only innovative, but also safe, impactful, and environmentally sustainable for healthcare systems.
Advancing Key Areas of the Project
Throughout the meeting, consortium partners shared updates and achievements across several core areas of the project, including:
- Data transfer and curation
- Green AI development
- Clinical validation
- Responsible governance
- Public and stakeholder engagement
The collaborative exchanges highlighted the significant progress achieved over recent months and underlined the importance of integrating expertise from multiple disciplines to address the complex challenges of AI in healthcare.

Learning from Sister Projects and Regional Initiatives
Participants also had the opportunity to hear the latest developments and results from sister projects CARING NATURE and KitNewCare, fostering valuable knowledge exchange and identifying synergies across initiatives.
In addition, our hosts at the University Clinical Hospital in Opole shared insightful presentations on data warehousing and analytical pathways at the Regional Center for Digital Medicine, showcasing innovative approaches to digital healthcare infrastructure and medical data management.

Exploring Research and Innovation Facilities
A particular highlight of the visit was the tour of the CT and MRI facilities at the Research and Innovation Centre. The visit provided practical insight into the clinical and technological environments supporting advanced imaging research and further enriched ongoing discussions around the project’s future directions.
The meeting also included productive sessions on dissemination activities, exploitation strategies, and planning for the next phases of the project.

Thank You to Our Hosts
A sincere thank you to the University Clinical Hospital in Opole for the excellent organisation, warm hospitality, and welcoming atmosphere throughout the event.
